DEPA: Dual Enrollment Pharmacy Academy

What is the Dual Enrollment Pharmacy Academy (DEPA)?

DEPA is a two year-round dual enrollment program developed for high school students in the Pecan Campus area who are seriously interested in pursuing careers in Pharmacy.

The Academy encourages students to consider a Pharmacy profession by providing college coursework and opportunities that motivate, educate and prepare them for higher education in the field. Students can do this while completing an Associate Science (AS) degree in Pre-Pharmacy by the end of their senior year in high school.

Who can participate in DEPA?

  • High school students in 11th-12th grades (students may apply during their 10th grade year)
    • Students should be enrolled in the Distinguished Advanced Program (DAP) curriculum
    • Students must have serious interest in pursuing a career in Pharmacy
    • Students must complete a DEPA application which includes writing a brief essay and resume
