Binational Educational Symposium
As economies from around the world recover from the global crises brought about by the pandemic and international conflicts, a new era brings about new challenges in supply chain systems and commerce in general.
To better understand these new challenges, and how public and private institutions have been adapting to the new realities of international commerce and supply chain systems, South Texas College has partnered with La Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas (U.A.T.), as well as INDEX Reynosa to present the 3rd Binational Educational Symposium. This event is open to the public, free of charge, and will be held in hybrid form (both virtually via Microsoft Teams and in-person at our Pecan Campus) on November 9th and 10th.
Specific topics covered during the Binational Educational Symposium include innovations in supply chain implementation and management, as well as public and private sector innovations in international trade. Workshops will also be offered in topics relevant to the skills and knowledge required in the fields of international commerce and supply chain operations.
In addition to the free conferences and workshops focused on international trade and commerce, the Binational Educational Symposium will be hosting students from our STC campuses and Dual Credit Academies around the valley. These students will attend the Federal Reserve presentation from our main program as well as other educational presentations financial literacy and career paths.
This year’s event will also give seven of our South Texas College students a chance to compete in the BES Challenge. This challenge is an interschool competition where seven students from each of our participating institutions compete for educational technology and other prizes using the skills and knowledge acquired during this two-day event.
