Annual Public Notice of Nondiscrimination Career and Technical Education Programs

In compliance with federal civil rights laws and Office for Civil Rights (OCR) guidelines, South Texas College provides the following annual public notification:

South Texas College offers career and technical education (CTE) programs in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Health Professions
  • Information Technology & Computer Science
  • Advanced Manufacturing & Industrial Technology
  • Automotive Technology
  • Business Administration & Accounting
  • Culinary Arts & Hospitality
  • Education & Human Services
  • Public Safety & Criminal Justice

CTE programs are designed to prepare students for high-skill, high-wage and high-demand careers. These programs are offered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age or disability.

Admission to CTE programs may include:

  • Completion of online application.
  • Submission of official transcripts.
  • Placement testing or demonstration of college readiness (if required).
  • Program-specific prerequisites or entrance exams (for select programs).
  • Compliance with clinical, background check or licensing requirements (where applicable).
