ArchiAdventure: Animating Architecture

Participants will explore the elements of animation specifically by creating an animated cartoon with Adobe Character Animator. This session will combine animation and architecture by creating an animated cartoon relating the history of an architecture masterpiece. Participants will not only explore animation, but architectural history, architecture elements and major concepts. Participants will be able to create a short final cartoon that can be exported to different platforms.

Creativity via Clay

This 2 week camp will immerse your creativity while creating art with clay. Students will be investigate surface treatments via the acient pinch-coil combination on a moderate scale for sculptural and potentially functional vessels. Additionally, students will be able to glaze and finish their clay sculptural to take home. This fun, hand-on camp will be filled with "pinches and pokes, while delivering some serious jokes and with pieces and parts that blend craft with Art".
Please note: Students will come in close contact with chemicals and be exposed to high heat elements.

If you ever wondered what your favorite fruit is made up of and what makes it unique, then this is your summer challenge. You will get a chance to rise to the challenge by living a week as a biotechnology scientist; wearing the lab coat, googles, gloves, and using cool lab equipment. Your challenge to extract DNA from strawberries and come up with its' DNA sequence. No homework, just hands on fun. The team with the cleanest and closest results gets the ultimate jaguar biotech prize there own signature lab coat. 2nd place gets a DNA puzzle. Or DNA souvenir.

How to Find and Keep Your Place in the Past, Present and Future
This camp will feature a series of hour-long sessions where over-arching themes like race, gender, place, sports, and politics will be used to teach young students about ways to actively engage with and preserve their past.
The emphasis will be on understanding the role of youth in important historic events, the ways in which young people can better engage with the present by knowing the past and preserving it, and the ways in which thinking about history properly sets our entire society up for a better future.

Do you enjoy building and working with electronics and computers? Week summer camp course focuses on hands-on projects where students construct several gadgets using the newest Raspberry Pi. This low cost, credit-card sized computer and is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore pc hardware and software, all while learning how to integrate the two in a fun and exciting way. In this course, we will be using the Raspberry Pi to create your own internet radio, a private VPN router, and a phone system.

Welding Career Exploration
