This advanced youth camp builds on foundational welding knowledge by introducing industry-level welding techniques. Students will develop skills in arc control, welding speed, and angle positioning while gaining hands-on experience with advanced welding practices used in today's manufacturing and construction industries. The camp is designed to enhance technical skills, precision, and career readiness in the welding field.

Participants explore electronics and programming through hands-on projects with Arduino microcontrollers. Students design and build interactive circuits and projects, such as light displays and simple robots, fostering creativity and interest in STEM fields.
Eligibility Requirements (Required for all Youth STEM Grant camps):

Come join some of our experienced Biology professors in learning some biological research techniques that you can use for a future in Biology. This is a 1 week Biology Technique crash course where we explore the wide use of biological techniques in viewing microorganisms, extracting DNA and more. All you have to do is bring your white lab coat and be ready to learn!

This camp is an immersive, hands-on construction camp where students step into the role of real-world builders. Throughout the week, participants will explore essential construction skills- measuring, cutting, leveling, and assembling. Students will complete a series of small-scale construction projects.

This 12-hour beginner-friendly camp is designed especially for kids who want to explore the fun of cupcake and cookie decorating. Students will learn how to prepare piping bags, mix and color frosting, and use a variety of decorating tips and techniques. Throughout the camp, participants will create and decorate cookies and cupcakes based on different fun themes, building their creativity and confidence along the way.

This hands-on, one-day creative camp introduces participants to the art of toy photography—turning everyday toys into dynamic storytelling subjects. Students will learn how to use lighting, angles, composition, and simple backgrounds to create imaginative and visually compelling scenes. Participants will explore how to build miniature “worlds” using toys they already love, while developing foundational photography skills that can be applied to any camera or smartphone. The session blends creativity and technique, encouraging students to think like visual storytellers and experiment with perspective and scale. No prior photography experience is required—just imagination and a favorite toy.
