Have you been waiting for a career in education but don’t know where to begin? It’s all starts with South Texas College! Our Education program currently consists of our Substitute Teacher Certification course. A career in Substitute Teaching provides a flexible work schedule and weekends off. Our online certification course is 12 hours over two Saturdays.

Substitute Teaching requirements vary by district. Please contact the district from whom you are seeking employment for all required qualifications.

NOT VALID for La Joya, Weslaco, or Hidalgo ISD.
