Campus Safety

South Texas College strives to provide a safe and secure campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. To promote the safety and security of our college community, programs and training pertaining to security awareness and the four phases of emergency management (mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery) have been developed and implemented. In addition, college policies and procedures prohibit weapons, drugs, alcohol, sexual harassment, and threats of violence on college property.

The South Texas College Police Department provides a 24/7 dispatch office (956) 872-4444, emergency 911, police officers and security guards to deter and respond to criminal activities and emergencies
