The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about unprecedented challenges in areas such as education, health policy, supply chain systems, and commerce in general. This global crisis will have lasting implications for both the public and private sectors long-after the pandemic has been resolved.
To better understand these challenges, and how public and private institutions have been adapting to the new realities of international commerce and supply chain systems, South Texas College has partnered with La Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas (U.A.T.), as well as INDEX Reynosa to present the 2nd Binational Education Symposium. This event is open to the public, free of charge, and will be held virtually via Microsoft TEAMS on November 10th and 11th.
Specific topics covered during the Binational Symposium include but will not be limited to innovations in supply chain implementation and management, as well as public and private sector innovations in response to COVID-19. Workshops will also be offered in topics relevant to the skills and knowledge required in the fields of international commerce and supply chain operations.
In addition to the free conferences and workshops offered to our students and public, the Binational Educational Symposium will be hosting an Interschool Competition. Eight students from each of our participating institutions will compete for educational technology and other prices using the skills and knowledge acquired during this two day event.
