- Total Spring 2023 Semester Aid Package: $300.
- Awarded first-come, first-served until funds are depleted.
- Students only need to submit the application once.
- Students who qualify will receive an initial $300 by the 1st class day.
- Students can apply this to tuition and fees or receive a check directly.
- Current dual credit students (high school) are not eligible.
- Students are responsible for all tuition/fees not covered by this award.

No, if you receive the full Federal Pell award, the additional $300 will be automatically given to you.
- Are online students eligible for the $300?
Yes.
- Can dual credit students receive the $300?
Unfortunately, dual credit students are not eligible to receive the funds at this time, however most dual credit students are not charged tuition and fees.
- Can DACA recipients, DREAMers, and undocumented students receive the $300?
Yes.
- Are international students eligible for the $300?
Yes.
- Do I need to repay the $300?
No, this is not a loan and does not require repayment.
- Is there a deadline or cutoff date to get the $300?
No, but funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis until they run out.
- Do I need to take 12 hours in order to receive the $300?
No, you must register for at least 3 credit hours to receive $300.
- Do I need to submit a FAFSA to get the $300?
No, but we recommend you submit a FAFSA to see if you qualify for additional aid. You can earn the $300 on top of any other aid you receive.
- When will I receive the $300?
The money will be distributed as part of your award right before the first day of class, if you choose for it to be applied to your tuition.
- Can I have the $300 pay off my tuition and fees?
Yes, just let us know if you would like this option on your application and we will automatically apply the $300 to your bill.
- What if the $300 does not cover all tuition and fees?
It is your responsibility to make payment arrangements with the Cashier’s Department to ensure that your classes are not dropped.
The College offers various payment options and works with you to make payment arrangements. Make sure to also complete and submit your FAFSA application to see if you are eligible for additional funds. Stop by Student Financial Services for additional funding resources (grants/scholarships/etc.).
- Is the $300 the same as PowerUp, HEERF, or CARES Act?
The $300 is from the CRRSAA Higher Education Relief Fund (HEERF II) from the U.S. Department of Education. - What happens if I withdraw from my classes?
If you withdraw prior to the 1st class day, you will not receive any funds. If you withdraw after the 12th class day, you will keep the $300; however, withdrawal from classes may impact your academic progress and future eligibility for financial aid.
- If I receive the money, does this affect my financial aid?
