Business Administration (Transfer Plan) – A. A. Degree 60 credit hours

Major Description

This degree designed for those students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts, or a Bachelor of Science Degree. Students take classes to complete state general education requirements and a combination of business classes in accounting, computers, and economics which fulfill the Associate of Art Degree in Business Administration. Upon transferring to a four-year college or university, students may choose a concentration in Accounting, Economics, General Business, Finance, International Business, Information Systems, Management, or Marketing.

Work Environment

Graduates with a Business Administration Associate may apply to many different types of careers. This degree will prepare students to be eligible for entry-level business positions, or mid-level management work with private corporations, government entities or non-profit organizations. Under this degree students will prepare to work in the banking industry or as an accountant. Individuals may find work in sales, retail merchandising, marketing, human resources or as public relations specialists. A master’s degree in business administration can help move individuals up the corporate ladder.
