The Arts & Crafts program includes the following courses:

Basic Cake Decorating

Leadership Skills

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Beginning Level, Sections 1 - 4

The Beginner level has 4 parts, each section is 40 hours. These courses are designed to be repeated with varying content. Skill development in pronunciation and use of job-related vocabulary. Intermediate Level, Sections 1 - 4

The Intermediate level have 4 parts, each section is 40 hours. This level will address essential listening, speaking, reading, writing, and computational skills required by business and industry. Advanced Level, Sections 1 - 4

High-Advanced Level, Sections 1 - 4

The Hi-Advanced level has 4 parts, each section is 40 hours. These courses focus on the principles of communication to facilitate sending and receiving messages in the workplace. Identify personality types; describe elements of communication; demonstrate communication skills; and compare and contrast effective and ineffective communication. Passages, Sections 1 - 4

The course emphasizes using Standard English grammar in writing paragraphs and short compositions. Students work on developing effective simple, compound and complex sentences. Students write descriptions, narrations, and paragraphs in which they give reasons for their opinions. They will then move on to short, multi-paragraph compositions. Student will require book for this level, one book covers all sections.

Conversation Classes

This is a speaking course using presentation techniques for presenting ideas and information to business and industry including the use of visual aids.

TOEFL Preparation

Activity Director

Prepares you to become an Activity Director. This position is available at nursing homes, hospitals, and Adult Day Cares. Topics include knowledge of the state rules and regulations, skills in preparing activities that are therapeutic and cognitive for adults.

Certified Dietary Manager

Provides the education requirements needed by dietary personnel to be able to take the credentialing exam to become a Certified Dietary Manager in a non-commercial kitchen. Topics include foodservice management, human resources management, nutrition and medical nutrition therapy, and food safety.

Certified Nurse Assistant (CE version)

This program will give you the basic skills and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of long-term care. The C.N.A program is a preparation for entry level nursing assistants to achieve a level of knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of long-term care facilities. Computed Tomography

CPR for Health Care Providers

EKG/Phlebotomy

The Phlebotomy/EKG Technician training program will provide training skills as a Phlebotomy Technician as well as an Electrocardiography Technician. Combination of skills can be used to obtain employment in hospitals, physician offices and a number of health care settings.

ICD-9/10

IV Sterile Admixture and Compounding

Law of Agency

Prepares you for a job as a real estate agent. This is one of six courses required by the Texas Real Estate Commission to be able to sit for the state licensing exam. Welding: Gas Tungsten

Emphasis on weld positions 1G -6G using various electrodes. The student will describe equipment And required pipe preparation and Perform 1G and 2G welds using Various electrodes. Student will Be required to evaluate their Performance abilities to Troubleshoot potential problems. Student will learn to decipher Coding system for AWS And proper use of available Materials and equipment.

This program is an introduction to the shielded metal arc welding process. Emphasis placed on power sources, electrode selection, oxy-fuel cutting, and various joint designs. Instruction provided in SMAW fillet welds in various positions. It also includes a comprehensive course on the welding of pipe using the shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) process. Welds will be done using various positions. Topics covered include electrode selection, equipment setup, and safe shop practices.

Truck & Bus Driving

The Truck & Bus Driving program includes the following courses:

Bus Driving

Each student will receive classroom, range driving skills practice and actual street driving experience.

Forklift Re-certification

This course serves to refresh and update operations on the safe use of forklift trucks. This course provides re-certification for trained operators who have attended a course within the last 3 years. Included is lecture and videos, demonstration and hands-on training followed by a proficiency demonstration, and an Operator Performance Evaluation.

Forklift Certification

This 40hr course is for people with little or no operational experience and who would like to obtain the minimum required level of knowledge/skill needed to safely operate a forklift. Included will be a demonstration and hands on training portion. This will be followed by a proficiency demonstration and an Operator Performance Evaluation.

Truck Driving
