On Thursday evening, September 21, 2006, South Texas College’s Valley Scholars Program honored three star supporters of education at its “Night with the Stars” celebration. Dr. Ramiro Casso, retired medical doctor, Kirk Clark, president and CEO of Charles Clark Chevrolet Company, and Valley Alliance of Mentors for Opportunities & Scholarships (VAMOS) were honored for their outstanding support and dedication to the program, as well as their overall contributions to the Rio Grande Valley. Each received plaques from South Texas College and gavels and plaques on behalf of the State of Texas. All proceeds from the event benefited STC’s Valley Scholars Program.
