A Tribute to Star Supporters of Education
On October 7, 2008, South Texas College's Valley Scholars will honor individuals who are supporters of education in the Rio Grande Valley and pay tribute to outstanding Valley Scholar alumni. This special event will take place at the Cimarron Country Club and will be an evening of celebration, recognition, awards, and entertainment. Since its inception, the program has supported more than 500 students with scholarships worth more than $1,000,000.

About the Valley Scholars Program
The Valley Scholars Program was established in 1997 through a partnership between the College and members of the local community to provide financial support, educational opportunities and mentoring to academically talented students who graduated within the top 10% of their high school graduating class. The program secures scholarship funding through sponsorships from community leaders. These financial contributions provide scholarships for students to complete an Associate degree at STC. Learn More

"A Night with the Stars" will be held at the Cimarron Country Club. The Club at Cimarron is a premier private Country Club offering the perfect ambiance for elegant, social and business gatherings as well as challenging recreational facilities.
