STC Pecan Campus open July 4 for summer, fall registration

South Texas College’s Pecan Campus will be open Tuesday, July 4 to assist students with registration for summer and fall classes. The second summer session begins July 5 and the fall term begins Aug. 29 at all STC locations. “We have had a large response to our Summer II session,” said William Serrata, chief student services officer for the college. “We decided to remain open on Tuesday to accommodate students who need to register, make schedule changes or pay for classes. Staff will also be available for those who want to register for the fall semester.” Admissions, financial aid, counseling and advising, and cashiers will be open July 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Student Services Building, which is located off 29th Street at Pecan Blvd. in McAllen. Students who register or apply for financial aid on July 4 will receive a free STC book bag. They can also register to win a $200 gift certificate to the STC Barnes and Noble bookstores. Summer and fall registration is also taking place during normal business hours at the STC Mid-Valley and Starr County campuses, and the Nursing and Allied Health, and Technology centers in McAllen.
