Audit courses to learn new skills at South Texas College
Want to take some interesting college courses to learn new skills, but shy about attending classes and having to go through the grade process? There is an alternative! South Texas College allows any interested student to audit a class, meaning attending courses and learning with the rest of the class, but not earning a grade. "Auditing a class is a terrific option for those who want to learn a new skill or are interested in exploring new subject areas. You simply attend and participate in class, but are not responsible for participating in tests or other assignments that would determine a grade," said Mario Reyna, Division Dean of Business, Math Science and Technology for STC. "This is a stress-free alternative for those who want to expand their horizons. Learning is a lifetime process and I encourage everyone to look through the STC course catalog and see what piques your interest. Attending a class is a better way to keep your mind in shape during the year than sitting in front of the TV and you get to meet lots of new people. It's a wonderful option!" South Texas College offers a variety of courses across a wide range of subject areas. Courses can be audited in subjects like: Administrative Careers Art Automotive Technology Business Administration Business Computer Systems Computer Science Culinary Arts Drama Electronic and Computer Maintenance Technology Engineering Government Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration technology History Paralegal Studies Science Those students registering to audit a class will only be responsible for tuition costs, not related fees.
