Beta Epsilon Mu Chapter Toddler-Thon Scheduled for February 18th
Get your toddler in shape! The South Texas College Beta Epsilon Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the Education Department and the Office of Student Activities invite your toddler to compete in the Beta Epsilon Mu Chapter Toddler-Thon on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Pecan Campus Cafeteria in Bldg. H.
Toddlers will test their stamina and strength by competing in their age groups in five events including the speed crawl, Hop the Canyon, among others. The age groups are 12 to 18 months; 18 to 24 months; 24 to 30 months; and 30 to 36 months. The 12-24 month age group will compete in four events while the rest compete in six events. Prizes will be awarded in each age category.
Although there is no cost to register your toddler for this event, PTK members will be on hand selling event t-shirts, snacks and drinks. Proceeds from the sales will help students travel to the International PTK Convention scheduled in Seattle, Washington in April.
The purpose of PTK is to recognize and encourage scholarship among associate degree students by providing opportunities for the development of leadership and community service.
For registration information contact Anthony Ramirez, PTK advisor, at (956) 872-6451 or visit him at the Pecan Campus in the Annex Building, Room 103 to fill out a registration form.
