Starr County Students Are Tuned In
Students at the STC Starr County Campus are tuning in to the latest technology to find out what’s happening around campus. The Instructional Technologies department along with Ruben Saenz, Starr County Campus site coordinator, teamed up to install three plasma television sets at the campus to display college information, events and any other related campus activities.
Campus organizations and departments are encouraged to submit items, preferably in a Microsoft Power Point format, for inclusion on the plasmas. Files should be submitted to the campus coordinator’s office.
Saenz states that the introduction of the plasmas is to enhance the environment in the hallways. Speakers have also been installed allowing music to continuously play in the background.
“The primary purpose of the plasmas is to improve the manner by which important information is communicated to the students,” Saenz noted.
For information on how to include your campus event on the Starr County Campus plasmas, contact the campus coordinator’s office at (956) 488-8181.
