STC Reaches Out To Those Affected by Hurricane Katrina
South Texas College is committed to serving students adversely affected by the recent natural disaster in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama and invites students of higher education institutions in these states to be a part of one of the most progressive and dynamic community colleges in Texas.
Student unable to attend their home institution this fall will be able to participate in one of the many mini-mesters regularly offered by South Texas College. The minimester start dates range from September 26 through December 12; therefore, the deadlines to apply will range from September 23 through December 9.
Admission Information:
Students displaced by the natural disaster will receive admission application assistance by contacting the South Texas College Call Center at (956) 872-4STC or 1-800-742-7822.
Registration Information:
Advising will be available through the Office of Counseling & Advising. Students will be allowed to register on-line, via the telephone, or in person.
Payment Information:
Students will be eligible for Resident Tuition during the fall term and financial assistance will be facilitated by the Office of Financial Aid. Please contact Mike Carranza, Director of Financial Aid at (956) 872-3420.
