Starr County Campus

STC’s Starr County Campus has seen major expansion since its opening in 1999. Originally situated in a small 27,279 square foot facility with just 12 classrooms, the campus has grown to $16 million facility with five major buildings, including the North Academic Building, the South Academic Building, Student Services Building, Workforce Center and a Student Activities Center. The campus also boasts the college’s only amphitheater, which seats more than 200 and has provided a venue for opera performances and a variety of community functions and plays.

Located in Rio Grande City, the campus has an enrollment of approximately 1,500 students from the Starr County area.
