The Technology Resources Department is pleased to announce a new feature on our Cisco IP Phones.
You are now able to access
other campus directories from your phone. You can do so by following a few
simple steps. Please note that you will only be able to find extensions and
personnel using Cisco IP Phones. If a person is still using a legacy phone,
he/she will not appear on the Cisco IP phone directories.
If your phone is a Cisco IP Phone 7940 or 7960 series,
follow the instructions below:
1. Click on the button on your phone labeled "directories"
2. Select a campus for your search
option 4 is Corporate Directory (Campus you're placing the call from)
option 5 is Pecan
option 6 is Mid-Valley
option 7 is Tech Center
option 8 is Starr
3. You can perform your search by entering a person's first name, last name or
extension. If you're not sure of the spelling or number, enter the first couple
of letters or numbers.
4. Press the button with the word "Search" right above
5. Highlight the name of the person you'd like to call and press the button
with the word "Dial" right above
6. Your phone will now dial that person's extension
If your phone is a Cisco IP Phone 7912 series, follow
the instructions below:
1. Click on the menu button (the button to the right of the volume)
2. Select option 2 for Directories
3. Select option 5 for Directory Services
4. Select a campus for your search
option 1 is Corporate Directory (Campus you're placing the call from)
option 2 is Pecan
option 3 is Mid-Valley
option 4 is Tech Center
option 5 is Starr
3. You can perform your search by entering a person's first name, last name or

4. Press the button with the word "Search" right above
5. Highlight the name of the person you'd like to call and press the button
