Biography:

I consider myself a very lucky person because I have 2 strong passions in life and I’m able to spend my days working on both of them. As an instructor in Reading I fulfill my passion for teaching, and as the president of the Humane Society of Harlingen, I fulfill my passion for helping lost/abandoned animals. I earned a Masters Degree in Developmental Reading as well as a Masters Degree in Special Education along with a Reading Specialist Certification and a Supervision Certification. Working in the public school system for many years, I decided to make a change and joined the STC faculty staff in 2000. I love teaching here and believe that our students are the best!
