Biography:I
completed my undergraduate studies in a Chinese teachers’ college
in 1981. Six years later, I earned my first MA degree in Teaching English
as a Foreign Language. I had nine-year teaching experience in China before
I came to Texas Tech University for graduate studies in 1992. After being
awarded Master of Education, I switched to the Department of English and
earned a doctoral degree in English by the end of 2001. I like reading
books, playing chess, and watching movies. A big change from West Texas
where I lived for ten years, Valley is a beautiful place. I have a real
passion for education and I am very happy when I see my students make
significant progress in learning. If there should be something as a motto,
this one is my true belief:
Encouragement and awareness of one’s own strengths and weaknesses should go hand-in-hand. |
