  • M.A. ( Behavioral Sciences ) University of Houston at Clear Lake City, Houston, Texas
  • B.S. (Speech Pathology, Audiology, & minor Psychology) University of Houston, Houston, Texas

Background:

  • Worked in public schools (all but 1 year in Texas) for a total of 15 years in varying Capacities (Speech and Hearing Therapist, Learning Disabilities Teacher, Special Education Teacher and Psychology Instructor). Worked 2 years as a Research Technician at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Department of Psychiatry/Behavioral Science Lab in Galveston, Texas. Worked 7 ½ years for Gulf Coast Regional Mental Health-Mental Retardation Center (Galveston and Brazoria Counties) in various clinical and administrative positions.
  • Worked one year as Adjunct Instructor for the Psychology department at STC prior to beginning full-time position in January 2004.
Professional Licenses & Certification:
  • Licensed Psychological Associate (Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists)
  • All Levels of Speech and Hearing Therapy, All levels Language/Learning Disabilities, and Secondary Psychology Certifications ( Texas Education Agency)

Interests:In addition to teaching, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, cooking, reading, and increasing my computer skills.
