Background:

He was born and raised a true New Englander, a Yankee from Connecticut. He had two dreams one was to be a police officer and the second was to teach. He has been lucky enough to be able to fulfill both of his dreams. He served for twenty years as a Law Enforcement Official for the State of Connecticut, conducting both motor vehicle and criminal investigations. Also conducted basic police and fire marshal training, including instruction in accident investigation, police community relations and proper weapon usage at the State Police Academy. Instructed courses in Social Organization, Family Interaction, Social Theory, Social Problems, Social Psychology, and Introduction to Sociology at Brigham Young University. He taught criminal justice at Central Texas at the University of Central Texas. He came down to the Rio Grande Valley in the spring 2001, where he is an instructor in the Criminal Justice program. He is married to Evelyn MacIntosh and he has two children Amy and Dough. Both children are married with Amy living in Austin and Doug living in Moore, Oklahoma and serving in the U.S. Air Force.
