    Art Appreciation -- This course concentrates on values and meanings in the visual arts, including the evaluation of selected works.

      Art History I -- This is an examination of painting, sculpture, architecture, and others arts from prehistoric through the ancient world.

    ARTS 1304

      Art History II -- This is an examination of painting, sculpture, architecture, and other arts from the Middle Ages to the present day.

      Design I -- This studio course focuses on the elements and principles of art with emphasis on two-dimensional concepts. The development and application of critical thinking is also included.

  • ARTS 1312

      Design II -- This studio course focuses on the elements and principles of art with an emphasis on three-dimensional concepts. The development and application of critical thinking is also included.

  • ARTS 1313

      Foundations of Art -- This course introduces students to the creative and imaginative use of art materials, tools, and techniques. The cultural significance of visual art is also included.

  • ARTS 1316

      Drawing I -- This studio course focuses on the investigation of drawing media and techniques, including descriptive and expressive possibilities.

  • ARTS 1317

      Drawing II -- This studio course is further investigation of drawing media and techniques with a particular emphasis on personal expression and concepts. This course can be repeated once for an additional 3 credit hours as a study in advanced prob lems or techniques.

      Painting I -- This studio course explores the potential of painting media with an emphasis on color, composition, and the dynamics of vision.

      Ceramics II -- This studio course is a further investigation of the preparation and manipulation of clay for the creation of ceramics. This course may be repeated once for an additional 3 credit hours as a study in advanced problems and techniques .

  • ARTS 2389

      Academic Cooperative -- This is an instructional program design to integrate on-campus study with practical hands-on work experience in the fine arts. In conjunction with class seminars, the individual student will set specific goals and objectives in the study of art.
